Persistence and Perseverance – 10 Top Inspirational Quotes For Attracting Prosperity

Persistence and Perseverance – 10 Top Inspirational Quotes For Attracting Prosperity

Persistence and perseverance are essential qualities to becoming successful in life. It’s your willingness to persevere — to persist without exception — that is going to enable you to accomplish what you want to accomplish. And it’s what enables you to ultimately attract the abundance and prosperity you desperately want in your life.

You can call this trait whatever you like — persistence, perseverance, tenacity, determination, doggedness, tenaciousness, strength, or purpose — but regardless of what you call it, it is a common trait in every successful person.

One of my favorite books is The Travelers Gift by Andy Andrews. In the book, he describes what he calls the seven decisions that determine personal success. The seventh decision is this: I will persist, without exception. Successful people persist without exception. Without exception means just that. It means that you find a way when there is no way. That is when most breakthroughs occur.

What is your pattern? Do you quit at the first sign of trouble and stop moving, or do you adjust course and keep moving forward in whatever way you can with an emphasis on remaining in motion? The minute you stop, you have sealed your failure. If you never persist, you will always fail.

Exhibit enthusiasm. Enthusiasm is such a key ingredient because when the going gets tough and you are prone to become discouraged, it is your enthusiasm that will provide the energy you need to keep going. Are you bringing enthusiasm to what you want to accomplish?

Trust in your ideas. It’s been said that everyone, including you, has at least one million dollar idea. Yet few will act on the idea and far fewer still will stay with it. If you knew your idea was guaranteed to make you rich one day, for how long would you be prepared to stick with it?

Stay in motion. If you are taking a road trip and encounter a roadblock or barricade, do you look for a detour or do you turn around, go back home, and cancel the trip? You keep looking for ways around of course. And so it may mean you move slowly, but the point is you are still moving.

Master your craft. Rarely do things come easy, especially when it is a new field or subject area about which you are unfamiliar. For example, if you start a business for the first time, you will not be an instant expert at it and will certainly make some mistakes. The third and fourth tries are about learning and becoming an expert at your craft.

Stay committed. To persevere is not glamorous. When you are truly committed to a particular outcome, it is your vision of that outcome that keeps you going. At any point in time, it can be very hard work to persevere in the face of little or no apparent progress. Ask yourself, how committed to the outcome you desire are you really? Edison failed at perfecting the light bulb 2000 times! What do you suppose would have happened had he concluded it was impossible?

So what about you? Do you intend to leave a legacy of “could have, would have, and should have” or a legacy of things you are proud to have accomplished? Here are ten top motivational quotes that deal with with subject of persistence:

“Success seems to be connected with action. Successful people keep moving. They make mistakes, but they don’t quit.” (Conrad Hilton)
“Flaming enthusiasm, backed up by horse sense and persistence, is the quality that most frequently makes for success.” (Dale Carnegie)
“Get a good idea and stay with it. Dog it, and work at it until it’s done right.” (Walt Disney)
“I am a slow walker, but I never walk backwards.” (Abraham Lincoln)
“Character consists of what you do on the third and fourth tries.” (John Albert Michener)
“Failure is the path of least persistence.” (Anonymous)
“Perseverance is the hard work you do after you get tired of doing the hard work you already did.” (Newt Gingrich)
“Nearly every man who develops an idea works at it up to the point where it looks impossible, and then gets discouraged. That’s not the place to become discouraged.” (Thomas Edison)
“When I thought I couldn’t go on, I forced myself to keep going. My success is based on persistence, not luck.” (Norman Lear)
“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones you did so. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.” (Mark Twain)

3 Inspirational Quotes to Help You Become More Successful

3 Inspirational Quotes to Help You Become More Successful

Lots of successful people have been inspired by the success of others especially those who  acquired tremendous wealth and became the center of envy by those who are a little underprivileged. These people became what they want, because they copied from those who were ahead of them and it was followed from generation to generation. It becomes a trend and nobody want to be left behind and so the process continues. Successful people are always the inspirations by those who want to follow their footsteps.

I have selected some quotes from famous people who contributed to the world to become an inspiration to mankind and embraced to enjoy.

1. Napoleon Hill

“Before success in any man’s life he is sure to meet with much temporary defeat and, perhaps, some failure. When defeat overtakes a man, the easiest and most logical thing to do is to quit. That is exactly what the majority of men do”.

This is true to those who are not so serious to succeed. Most people are eager to start when they are still in its early burst of enthusiasm. As the days and even months continued, and there work is still halfway to the finish line, they tend to become disinterested anymore and later on quit without giving justice to what they have started to see its course.

I am one of the victim of these early-to-start-early-to-quit mentality. I’ve started a project with the intention of getting it done on time based on my time table. But, as the time have passed and nothing came out into manifestation, I became frustrated and leave the work unfinished. This happened many times in my life, I became easily frustrated and ended up in a state of solitude and self pity.

Until I finally realized, and with the help of this quotes of Napoleon Hill, I was able to manifest a true change in my life. Now, anything I commenced, either it be a simple task to a more complicated ones, I always stick to this inspirational quote as a guide for me to go on with my plans until the final result becomes apparent.

2. Calvin Colidge

“Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than successful people with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is filled with educated derelicts.  Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent. The slogan “Press On” has solved and always will solve, the problem of the human race”.

This is the most excellent quote I’ve encountered from the famous Calvin Coolidge. The content from it, is so magnetic that I am carried away by its meaning. Usually, many individuals are proud with their lots of recognitions and diplomas, thinking that those recognitions could bring them to success. So they end up waiting for some opportunities to arrive them without making some efforts to utilize those enormous resources they possesses.

No matter how you possess all those positive resources, if you’ll not exert your efforts to follow what you desires, nothing would comes out into reality.

3. Theodore Roosevelt

“The most important single ingredient in the formula of success is knowing how to get along with people”.

Public relation plays an important role in the life of a person. It’s through getting along with people that you can be classified as a real person who can be treated the way others treat you. It’s a way how people value you as an  individual when you showed your inner self as well as your potentials to be of more important for them. Through your good rapport with your peers, you’re considered as a part of their lives, and because you’re not foreign to them, they’re all at peace to seek your help without any second thought whatsoever. They’re open to all their problems at your own disposal to give a quality solutions.

With this quality you possess, your success becomes more apparent to show its course.

5 Inspirational Love Quotes – The Power of Love!

5 Inspirational Love Quotes – The Power of Love!

Copyright (c) 2010 Steve M Nash

Ah, the power of love!

…In all its forms:

* Passion,

* Romance,

* Understanding, etc…

Love is everywhere, it really is, love is in all aspects of our lives. And love is revealed (or its absence is revealed) wherever we look too.

And the following 5 inspirational love quotes (and explanations) go some small way in showing this to be true. Enjoy. Oh, and love – always love!

1. “A kiss is a lovely trick designed by nature to stop speech when words become superfluous.” — Ingrid Bergman

Here, Ingrid Bergman refers to a love that all of us yearn for, fondly remember or even actively participate in: romantic love!

And she’s right, sometimes words just get in the way, and sometimes a kiss says everything you need to know! (Sometimes kissed are great ways of avoiding words, too, but today is not about being cynical…)

Next, Bertrand Russell – possibly speaking from experience – urges us all to embrace the opportunities of love fully:

2. “Of all forms of caution, caution in love is perhaps the most fatal to true happiness.” — Bertrand Russell

And perhaps what Bertrand is really saying here is that love is the greatest opportunity that life presents to any of us. And a life that makes best use of opportunities is a life best lived, is a happy life.

3. “You will find, as you look back upon your life, that the moments when you really lived are the moments when you have done things in the spirit of love.” — Henry Drummond

And I guess Henry Drummond, with these words, is in agreement.

I guess he’s saying that life really is more fun when love has been behind what we do. Much more enabling, much more empowering, much MORE… than when fear is the motive behind our actions.

And I think that this is true of the individual as it is of society, of business, and of government – as reflected in these wise words of Jimi Hendrix:

4. “When the power of love overcomes the love of power the world will know peace.” — Jimi Hendrix

And the meek will well and truly have inherited the world too, Jimi, when this happens. But I think we are a long way off this ‘perfect’ state.

Still, you can never ever underestimate the power of love. Nor the power of patience.

5. “With love and patience, nothing is impossible.” — Daisaku Ikeda

So maybe one day we will ALL more fully embrace the power of love in our lives, accept fuller responsibility for how we *do* love and how we receive it.

Or maybe we’ll continue to prefer to read inspirational love quotes one after another, nod in quick agreement, and move on to the next thing on our to-do list…
